So my husband got promoted to manager at work and we are going to relocate to be closer to his work. I have to find a new lily pad for us to land on which is both exciting and scary. Right now we live in Port St. Lucie and we are looking in Broward County. I have been looking at places with a realtor who is full of energy. She seems to be pretty upbeat and direct. I like those qualities in a person. The places we have seen, however, do not have all the qualities I am looking for. For example, I really want a single family home with an updated kitchen, updated bathrooms, and a fenced yard. We would like three bedrooms but we may have to make do with two. My goofy husband can't decide on a price range for me, which makes shopping a little frustrating! When he feels happy and is having a good day then we are shopping in a higher price range. When he is having a hard day at work then we are shopping in a lower price range. When I, lovingly, pointed that out to him he owned it and we giggled about it for a minute, hen went right back to looking. I know the amount I feel comfortable paying so this weekend I'm focusing my search on the price range I'm comfortable with. So far we have only found houses that are too small and, in one instance, we found one that has the perfect size, the PERFECT back yard but a kitchen that is dated and falling apart and bathrooms that are so small and ugly they make me groan!
I have found a new place to check out that has a loft bedroom with a private bathroom for the boys and a super nice, very open kitchen for Kevin. I just hope the backyard is what I'm looking for. We shall see.
